NSW:Sydney heatwave sizzles into its sixth day

The record-breaking heatwave in Sydney continues today.

Temperatures are due to hit 41 degrees in parts of western Sydney .. along the coast
beach-goers can expect highs of up to 36 degrees.

It will be the sixth day temperatures have topped 30 degrees across the city.

A total fire ban remains in place across much of the state and the Rural Fire Service
is warning people to be vigilant.
