Fed: Beazley says National Party doomed = 2

A poll in the Sunday Telegraph showed Mr Anderson's primary support had withered to
29 per cent from 46.1 per cent at the last federal poll, when he won the seat with an
11.1 per cent margin.

One Nation support had risen six points to 27 per cent and Newspoll declared Labor,
which has not held Gwydir for 52 years, would probably win the seat with One Nation preferences.
