TROY - A 20-year-old Troy man got milk, police say, but his method of obtaining it got him arrested.
Chad Fogarty of 434 Sixth Ave. was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Sunday after police say he burglarized Rensselaer Park Elementary School. A second suspect escaped.
All that was reported stolen was a half-pint of chocolate milk.
According to police, officers responded to a burglar alarm at the school and found two suspects inside. The two men ran out, and Officer Peter Montanino chased them. He caught Fogarty and arrested him.
Fogarty was charged with burglary in the third degree, a felony; and possession of burglar tools, resisting arrest, petit larceny and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, all misdemeanors.
Fogarty is in Rensselaer County Jail awaiting his next court appearance.
