Review: Scissor Sisters dirty but good on new CD

The Scissor Sisters have sloughed off some of their signature camp style and roughed up their edges on the new record "Night Work."

Equal parts "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Bad Romance," the new record is dramatic, danceable and definitively cool. The title track is a sonic frappe of electro-dance pop and covert sexual innuendo _ "Night Work" being a subtle euphemism for male prostitution _ set to quickly paced, expertly executed distorted guitar riffs.
